STUDENT RECREATION CENTER/ATHLETIC FIELD HOUSE/INDOOR VARSITY GOLF PRACTICE FACILITY

Description: This basic building program of 140,000 gsf was attached to existing Ocasek Natatorium on its west side after the demolition of Spicer Hall. The basic program includes a three court gymnasium, a two court multi-sport area, rock climbing wall, cardiovascular training area, free weights and strength training area, aerobics/dance studio, running/walking track, recreation pool, short term baby sitting and Wellness Center Shell and Buildout (University Health Services Relocation). Potential additions to the basic program (contigent upon the availability of funding) could include the renovation of ONAT Raquetball court(s) for a teaching facility.

This 155,500 gsf athletic field house will include a 100-yard varsity football practice field with artificial turf (60' high clearance), a six lane varsity indoor track/field events, other sports related features and support facilities, Men's/Women's locker rooms, and equipment storage areas.
