The nursing education curriculum is designed to prepare students to implement the academic role and responsibilities of the nurse educator in a variety of educational settings.  The student develops competence in program and curriculum development, teaching strategies, and methods of evaluating learning in a variety of settings, including program evaluation.  The capstone of nursing education is a practicum which allows the student opportunity to synthesize previous learning and to function in the full academic role.
