Group Exercise Class Descriptions

The Group Exercise program is developed to provide diverse exercise opportunities and services to members who wish to be involved in an exercise program hosted in a group setting. The staff provides excellent leadership, up-to-date quality instruction and high-energy motivation to the SRWC members in correct and safe aerobics manner utilizing exercises that incorporate a variety of teaching methods. Group Exercise is provided through a variety of class and program formats utilizing effective and enjoyable exercise.


Beginner: For those just beginning an exercise program, these classes will teach you the fundamentals of each format.

Intermediate: For those currently exercising regularly, these classes will utilize additional choreography and move at a faster pace.

Advanced: For those who feel they have mastered the technique and form of a group exercise and are ready to progress to a higher level.

All Levels : These classes allow participants to work at their own pace and comfort level.

20/20/20 - This class combines three workouts in one to give you the ultimate challenge and total body workout! Sweat through 20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of strength training and 20 minutes of stretching and core work!(All levels)

All About Abs
- Perfect for those that want to target those abs and low back in an effective 30 minute workout. (All levels)

Aqua Yoga– This class uses the flowing and graceful movements of yoga with the resistive properties of the water. Connect the mind and body in an aquatic environment. (All Levels)

Boot Camp - Get ready for camp! This high energy class will take you through different drills to keep your feet moving and your heart pumping! (All levels)

Cardio Craze - Anything goes in this class! 45 minutes dedicated to an amazing cardio workout! Enjoy a mix of step aerobics, kickboxing, BOSU and other heart pumping combinations! (All levels)

Cardio N' Sculpt - Get it all done at once; a combination of both cardio and strength training all in one class! Enjoy a mix of step aerobics, kick boxing, BOSU, body sculpting moves and much more! (All levels)

Cardio Waves - This class has high intensity and aerobic activity in the shallow water. This workout consists of aquatic movements that encourage cardiovascular fitness. No swimming ability is necessary. Jump in and ride the waves to physical fitness. (All levels)

Hips, Buns, and Thighs (HB&T) – Target those "problem areas" in this 30-minute resistance training workout. This class uses a variety of exercises and equipment to work the muscles in your legs and glutes! (all levels)

Kickboxing - This class combines high energy cardio drills and kicking and punching combinations with a kickboxing bag. Get ready to sweat! Gloves are provided. Hand wraps are recommended (can purchase in the information office). 15 person limit. (All levels)

Power Abs - Get your abdominal workout in just 20 minutes! This quick and efficient workout focuses on core strength and stability. (All levels)

Pilates - An innovative system of mind-body exercise evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates. learn about body awareness, correct posture and effective stretching techniques while toning the entire body. (All levels)

TurboKick - Get ready to sweat! Inspired by martial arts and dance, this consisten, pre-choregraphed kickboxing class will help you kick, punch and groove your way through this hour long workout. (All levels)

Total Body Sculpt - This 45-minute strength training workout will work all of your major muscle groups with use of balls, bands, weights and more for a total body workout! (All levels)

Water Walking - This class is designed to increase your heart rate and endurance with all the benefits of exercising in the water. Participants use various movements with the arms and legs to get a great workout. No swimming skills necessary. (All levels)

Yoga 101 - The main focus of this class is to introduce beginning yoga poses and breathing techniques to help reduce stress. Learn the basic foundation and poses for developing a yoga practice. (All levels)

Yoga Flow - This class will be sure to harmonize the mind, body and spirit, while stabilizing and strengthening the entire body. (All levels)
