Hera's falls to kidney failure
4t On July 1h, 2006 Officer Hera was laid to rest as she completed her tour of duty prematurely due to execessive kidney failure. Officer Hera gallantly struggled to maintain her duties right up until the day before she passed on. UAPD Officers turned out for a memorial September 7th, 2007 to remember Hera along with members of the Summit County Sherrif's K-9 Division, University of Akron Vice President Ted Curtis, former University of Akron Board Member Gene Waddell and a host of others from the University Community.
