Recent Crime Report (UAPD Daily Log)
UAPD wants you to know about crimes that have been committed in our community.  By making you aware of what is happening, you can prepare and protect yourself from becoming a victim of a crime.   We believe that the best crime is the one that is prevented.  Please visit the UAPD Daily Crime Log often!  

Every two business days UAPD compiles a report of the activities of the officers.  This report is distilled into a compact form for email submission to our community.  If you would like to receive an email of the recent crime email report,

Akron Police Reported Crimes
The University of Akron Police Department works hand in hand with the Akron Police Department to ensure safety in the neighborhoods that surround our campus.   Of special concern is the area south of Exchange St.as it holds the largest population of off campus housing.  UAPD compiles monthly pin maps of burglaries and robberies that have been reported to The Akron Police Department. We are constantly looking for tends and analyzing the data to determine if there is a pattern we can anticipate to prevent a crime or apprehend a criminal in action. Click here to view the maps.
