Sergeant Gooding Attends PELC
Sgt. Gooding attends PELC
Afternoon shift had to do without Sgt. Dale Gooding for a few days in the November and December, as Sgt. Gooding spent time in Columbus training at the Police Executive Leadership College (PELC).
PELC is a program designed to enhance the leadership qualities of police supervisors. The program consists of three one week sessions which are interspaced with one or two weeks back in the department between sessions. This format allows for information that was discussed in the session to be reviewed and applied. It also is a time for research, and preparation for the next session.
After two weeks Sgt. Gooding stated " The most rewarding part of the training so far has been the relationships I have been able to establish with supervisors from other agencies".
