Rationale:
The program has steadily declined in enrollment over the past several years and it is increasingly
difficult to place students in clinical programs at hospitals. Demand for Medical Technologists
have also shrunk. Furthermore, the coordinator for the program for the past 15 years is retiring.
Hence, this is a logical time to delete the program.

BULLETIN DESCRIPTION:

Under the section heading for Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (on page 97 of the
1999-2000 bulletin), add the following statement: This program has been suspended effective
Fall Semester 2000. No new students will be admitted into the program.
