| Rationale: | |
| This curriculum change is being presented as a result of input from the Office Administration Advisory Committee and current and former students. Changes to the keyboarding/word processing course content will enable students to be Microsoft Office Specialist certified. This national certification will assist students in job placement and hiring. Student technological skill levels now show that Windows and keyboarding skills are prerequisite skills that students should have prior to entering the program. Therefore, 2440:102 Introduction to Windows and 2540:120 Keyboarding for Skill Development are being proposed as bridge course work for students without the necessary prerequisite skills. | |
