To update curriculum to meet the needs of the students.
Bulletin description:
The Medial Assisting program provides students with the educational background necessary to perform a wide range of tasks in the physician's office and other ambulatory health care settings. Administrative tasks include ICD-9-CM and CPT coding, medical transcription, medical software usage. Clinical tasks include injections, phlebotomy, assisting with minor surgery, minor office procedures, and CLIA waived laboratory tests.

The Medical Assisting Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), on recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment.
