| Child Development and Courtship, Marriage, & Family Relations are core classes in both degree programs. It is essential that students have an adequate foundation in both of those classes. Students who are unable to earn at least C in these classes do not have the knowledge base necessary to be Child Development or Family Development majors. | |

| Bachelor of Arts in Family and Child Development
This degree offers the following emphasis: family development, child development, and child-life specialist. In addition to departmental requirements listed under 7400: Family and Consumer Sciences, a student must complete one of the following options. Also, a student choosing the Child Development option must earn a C or better in both 7400:201 Courtship, Marriage and Family Relations and 7400:265 Child Development to be accepted into the program. |
