| Brief Summary of Proposal | The Department of Classics and the programs in Anthropology and Archaeology were combined to form a new Department of Classical Studies, Anthropology, and Archaeology. The Board of Trustees approved this change on August 23, 2000. This proposal will in effect change ALL existing courses in Anthropology (3870) to a newly designated department course number of 3230. This new course number (3230) will follow the sequencing pattern presently established for the programs in Classical Studies. This will affect only existing courses. There will be THREE EXCEPTIONS on the course numbering changes. The following courses 3870:250 Introduction to Archaeology, 3870:356 Archaeology of the Americas, and 3870:472/572 Special Topics in Anthropology will be changed to a new department course number of 3240 for ARCHAEOLOGY courses. (PLEASE REFER TO PROPOSAL AS-01-64 FOR THESE CHANGES). |
