| Brief Summary of Proposal | The proposed course is a pilot venture for a Special Topics Class targeting incoming female freshman engineering students. The course consists of three components; presentations by guest speakers, class discussions, and weekly peer group meetings facilitated by female engineering students in their final year of school. Other activities for building professional awareness include: one to two plant trips to local manufacturing or engineering companies, luncheons with corporate speakers, and participation in the Engineering Career Fair and Executive Forums. |
