Brief Summary of ProposalThe purpose of the proposal is to add two new required courses in statistics to replace the existing degree requirements in statistics. It is also proposed that four new courses (8200:892, 8200:895, 8200:896, and 8200:898) be added as elective doctoral-level courses. 8200:892, 8200:896, and 8200:898 provide a mechanism for students to pursue independent theoretical, research, and clinical study under faculty guidance. Special Topics 8200:895 provides a mechanism for doctoral faculty to offer a course in response to students' academic, clinical, and research interests. Lastly, Dissertation II (8200:800) is added to create a mechanism for continuing dissertation research enrollment beyond the required 30 credits.
