Brief Summary of ProposalDue to changes in the BSN program, the LPN to BSN program needed to change to more accurately reflect the approved BSN curriculum. In addition, it was determined that the Mobility Profile Exams were not a good predictor of success in the program, and needed to be eliminated. The new 8200:216 course is designed to eliminate redundancy of material found in two former courses, (8200:101 and 8200:215) while giving the student a vehicle to prepare to test out of sophomore courses N211 and N225. Beginning LPN nursing courses in the Spring semester will facilitate the transition into the basic program, while providing an opportunity for students to retake courses during the summer, should they not be successful in testing out of the course in the spring.
