| Brief Summary of Proposal | 1. Reduce program requirements from 68 to 66 (-1 credit 2980:100 Intro to Geomatics & -1 credit 2985:290 Topics in Professional Practice)
2. Delete three(3) currently required courses and replace with two (2) new required courses and increase the number of GIS elective course credit hours from 3 to 6.
Delete: 2940:211 Computer Aided Drawing II, 3 credits
Delete: 2980:123 Surveying Field Practice, 2 credits
Delete: 2980:223 Fundamentals of Map Production, 3 credits
Add: 2980:330 Applied Photogrammetry, 2 credits
Add: 2985:205 Building Geodatabases, 3 credits, new course
Increase: 2985:xxx GIS Elective, from 3 to 6 credits
3. Reduce 2985:280 Topics in Professional Practice from 3 to 2 credits.
4. Restructure course sequences, which includes 2980:100 Intro to Geomatics being reduced from 3 to 2 credits.
5. Change prerequisites of two (2) courses: 2985:201 Intermediate Geographic & Land Information Systems, and 2985:210 Geographic & Land Information Systems Project from current 2980:227 Intro to Geographic & Land Information Systems to new 2985:101 Introduction to Geographic and Land Information Systems (GIS/LIS) or equivalent, respectively.
6. Change the number of 2980:227 Introduction of Geographic and Land Information to 2985:101.
