Brief Summary of ProposalTwo changes: 1. The original course outcomes no longer reflect the level of nursing care needed in caring for people with mental health issues. An additional outcome has also been added to this 5 credit hour course. The new course outcomes are a better measurement of what is needed to be a safe practitioner of Mental Health Nursing. 2. Currently the 5 credit hours are allocated this way: 2 credits= lecture; 1 credit= seminar; 2 credits=practicum. We wish to eliminate the seminar and allocate the 5 hours this way: 2 credits= lecture and 3 credits= practicum.
