| Brief Summary of Proposal | Wayne College is proposing closure of the Social Services Technology - General Option associate degree program. With the availability of the department’s Associate to Bachelor’s degree option (step-up), students receive the same core curriculum preparation for preprofessional employment as social work assistants with the added flexibility of completing the first two years of course work required for a bachelor’s degree in Social Work at The University of Akron. This flexibility has made the Associate to Bachelor’s degree option the preferred choice for most students entering the program, rendering the general option unnecessary. |
