Brief Summary of ProposalThis course is intended to introduce students to the theory, operation, deployment, data acquisition, data processing and interpretation of ground penetrating radar and multi-channel resistivity data. Specifically students will learn about and apply the theory that underpins these systems. They will become competent in experimental design as they determine system deployment, operation and data collection parameters and successfully complete a field-based research investigation. Participants will also become familiar with electromagnetic wave signal processing, 2-D inverse modeling of multi-channel electrical resistivity data and interpretation of the results from processing of those data.
