| Brief Summary of Proposal | We are creating separate Special Studies courses at the 400 level for that will allow us fine tune DARS. Rather than one general Special Studies number (3400:493), we are creating one for each of our distributional areas: 1) 493: North American history; 2) 495: European history; 3) 496 Other (as well as their 500-level equivalents: 593, 595, 596). DARS can then be configured to give students appropriate credit for their distribution reqs for the history major rather than handling them as exceptions. For the European course, we are creating a new course at both the 400- and 500-level. See proposals AS-08-037 through AS-08-042. |
