Brief Summary of ProposalThis proposal converts a special topics course into a regular graduate course, 3350:543 Urban Applications in GIS, offering readings, discussions, and hands-on exercises in the use of GIS to study cities and urban issues. The course will be a Geotechniques Elective for our MS in Geographic Information Science program. Students in our MA in Urban & Regional Planning program and MA in Geography program can take it as a general elective. (See proposal AS-09-105 for undergraduate counterpart.)
