Brief Summary of ProposalThis proposal: 1)reduces major requirements from 41 to 37 credit hours by reducing concentration electives from 24 to 21 cr, deleting departmental approval to apply to concentration electives 3 cr at the 300/400 level from other departments, and reducing the core course 3230:150, Human Cultures, from 4 cr to 3 cr (see AS-11-014), thus reducing the core from 17 to 16 cr; 2)eliminates 3240:102, 103, 104, and 320 and 3230:355 (see AS-11-007 through -011); 3)renames 3230:370, Cultures of the World, "Globalization and Culture" (see AS-11-015); 4)adds existing 3240:345, Egyptology, to archaeology concentration electives; 5)adds existing 3230:359, Anthropological Theory, to concentration electives so that it may satisfy either core or elective credit.
