| Brief Summary of Proposal | The course is designed to expand the traditional canon of French literature, and to expose the students to other cultural/social/political realities and their representations in literary works. The objective of the course is to teach cultural pluralism, to broaden historical and sociological perspectives, and to learn to appreciate literary values of works outside of France.
