Graduate Program Admission

To apply to the graduate programs in psychology you must apply online at the University of Akron Graduate School. The online application is at the following link:
app.applyyourself.com/?id=uakron-g.

In addition to the online application, the following are required: three letters of recommendation, personal statement, gre scores, and transcripts. Please send these items to the Graduate School office at the following address:

The Psychology Department has minimum admission requirements for acceptance into our graduate programs. These requirements are offered as guidelines for interested applicants. Please click here for more information.


Deadlines for all application materials to be on file in the Graduate School office are as follows:

Counseling Program: December 1

Industrial/Organizational Programs: January 15

ADA (Adult Development and Aging):
Currently accepting applications for new graduate students.

Applications received by January 15th will be reviewed. The graduate school recommends that applications be submitted 6 weeks prior to the department deadline for domestic applicants and 6 months prior to the deadline for international students. However, EARLY SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION MATERIALS IS NOT REQUIRED BUT IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Applications received up to and including January 15th will be reviewed.
