Position Description

• Provides leadership support to the Director in managing projects, developing strategies and objectives, and managing and developing team members. May have direct reports.

Develops and maintains relationships with internal client groups and HR generalists to establish priorities, consult on initiatives, provide project status updates and drive project success, and generally serve as a resource and strategic business partner.

• Leads the design and implementation of company-wide employee engagement survey programs, responsible for areas such as survey design, reporting, analytics, presentations, and action planning. Delivers presentations to executives.

• Provides recommendations for the design and implementation of performance management, talent selection, assessment, development, and retention programs. Serves as subject matter expert to other areas such as Staffing, Learning, and Organizational Development.

• Manages all phases of complex research projects, including consulting with clients, developing a project plan, providing research expertise to facilitate decision-making, guiding any research team or cross- functional team members assigned to the project, and developing and presenting executive summaries of results.

• Partners with qualified external consultants, monitoring and managing their work. Co-manages vendors with the Director.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. (preferred) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

• 7 years of I/O-related work experience, most of which is in a consulting or corporate environment.

• 4 years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of survey methodologies and tools, with experience project managing at least one global survey project from the RFP/vendor selection through action planning phase.

• 7 years of combined project experience in survey research and one or more of the following areas: 360 feedback, assessment tools (for selection, HiPo or leadership development, placement), analytics (e.g., linkage research, key driver analysis), or performance management.

• Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and research design methodology including multivariate statistics. SPSS knowledge and experience required. SEM experience a plus, but not needed.

• Ability to function independently in business or organizational environments, partnering with senior leaders and effectively delivering consulting services and presentations.

• Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.

• Strong project management, decision-making, business savvy and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills. Ability to independently develop executive summaries and articulate technical information to non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.

Consultants, Senior Consultants and Project Managers work with consulting team members to define project-related activities and interact directly with clients to deliver extraordinary service and world-class solutions.

Required Skills:
Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology
Three to five years of human resources consulting or corporate experience for Consultant/Senior Consultant Six to ten years for Project Manager
Strong customer focus, project management, interpersonal communication and writing skills
Experience with executing multifaceted projects and providing staff guidance in one or more of the following areas: selection and assessment, performance management, survey research or training and development
Experience with test validation, performance appraisal and statistical Software packages (e.g. SPSS, SAS)
