Safety
Guidelines
The following safety guidelines are in place and will be adhered to.
The safety guidelines are:
Shoes - should
be of substantial leather. No open toed shoes or tennis shoes will be permitted
within the area of plant operations. Steel toed shoes are not required but
suggested.
Eyewear - safety
glasses will be provided and MUST be worn at all times while in the plant.
Please avoid looking directly at any welding arc and shield your eyes with your
hand to prevent peripheral exposure to arc.
Hand Protection – Please DO NOT TOUCH any of the assembled trailer parts as they may
still be hot from or have sharp edges.
Overhead Cranes – Cranes are in constant use. DO NOT pass near any loaded cranes. Step
aside and allow the employee to move the material past you. NEVER walk under
any suspended material.
Walkways - Stay in the main
walkways. Be extremely careful of your step through the production area due to
the many parts sitting out and weld hoses and power cables strung across the
floor.
Hearing Protection – Will be provided and must be worn at all times while in the plant
area.
Tow motors
– Numerous forklifts will be operating in the plant area, Please give the
forklifts the right-of-way and make sure the operator is aware of your
presence.
Speed Limits
– Speed limit within the plant area is 15 MPH. Tow motors and yard trucks have
the right-of-way at all times.
Fir Alarms
– Should the fire alarm sound, please exit the building by the most direct
route and meet up with your escort and group at the designated area.
