This satellite seminar program explores the role of ethics in supply management. The news continues to address this topic in the wake of ongoing business improprieties. We will also explore how to develop and enforce a strong code of ethics and how to address conflict of interest and anti-trust issues.

A note to the general membership:

It has been my pleasure in serving the membership of NAPM Akron for the past two years as your President.  During that time we changed some things around, tried a few new venues, and have accomplished a lot, all with your help and support.  Our primary objectives were met as we improved attendance at many of our events, including Dinner Meetings and Satellite Seminars.  We have built a much closer tie with The University of Akron, increased the number of C.P.M.s while providing seminars to you at no cost, including lunch.  We have a great organization, a terrific group of members, and a strong Board of Directors.  As we transition and move forward, continue to support the new Board as you have during recent years, as well as considering giving a year (or two) of service to keep us going (and growing). Thanks to each and every one of you for your support and participation during this time.  And remember this paraphrased quote from many years ago. Ask not what NAPM Akron can do for you, ask what YOU can do for NAPM Akron. (JFK??)

Paul Klingler, President (13 more days, but who is counting)
