My research is primarily in the area of aggressive communication traits, in particular, argumentativeness and verbal aggressiveness.Ý I have been studying these communication predispositions for over twenty years.Ý Most recently, several colleagues and I have been exploring how to train adolescents to enhance their motivation and skill in argumentative communication, while attempting to decrease their tendencies to engage in verbal aggression.
