Elaine was born and raised in Summit County, Ohio. She's lived in Medina County with her husband, Chuck, for 15 years.

Elaine plays uke and mountian dulcimer. She's been with Mixed-Up Strings for about five years. She also plays with the Wayne County Dulcimer ensemble.

She occasionally teaches beginners how to play the dulcimer.
