Gretchen Dinin 

Gretchen was born in Boston and studied at Russell Sage College in Troy, New

York.  While in Rochester, she was a stay-at-home mother and then worked as

a nurse. After moving to Ohio in 2003, she learned to play the MD, recorder,

and is learning to play the HD.  She joined Mixed Up Strings in 2003 and

also plays with several other groups in the NE Ohio area. 

Steven Dinin

Steven was born in the Bronx, New York.  He studied at Rensselaer

Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY and practiced Architecture in Rochester, NY

for 35 years and also served as Assistant Professor of Architecture, at

Finger Lakes Community College when he retired and moved to Ohio in 2003.

As well as being a vocalist, he plays the guitar, concertina, tenor banjo,

banjo-uke, MD, and the recorder.  He joined Mixed Up Strings in 2003 and

also plays with several other groups in the NE Ohio area.

They have two grown children, three grandchildren as well as an elderly dog

and cat.

 

A favorite musical scripture: Ephesians 5:19,  "Speaking to yourselves in

psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your

heart to the Lord;"
