Georgia was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. For most of her adult life she's lived in Stark County and currently resides in Massillon. Except for some college time and travels, she's lived in Stark County, Ohio sinc
Her primary instrument is her voice. Shealso plays guitar, dulcimer, and piano . She has have taught students on each of these instruments.
In earlier years, she played and/or taught cornet, trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, french horn, and trombone.
She's been a member of Mixed Up Strings for about 5 years.
She is a talented song writer and has recorded some of her original work on a Mixed-Up Strings CD and on her own CD.
From September to May, she hosts an informal acoustic jam at the Canton Classic Car Museum on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 2 - 4 PM.
She sings with the Folk Group at St. Barbara's Church in Massillon, Ohio, and plays piano at Bliss Cafe in Dalton, Ohio on Tuesdays from 11:30 AM - 1:30, schedule permitting. She plays and sings at various churches and festivals as invited and available.
She gives guitar lessons at present.and can give dulcimer and piano lessons as well.
Her husband is Jack J. Eshelman. They were married November 23, 1979. She has a step-son, John R. Eshelman. He and his wife, Mary, have two children, Michaila and Andrew. They live in Youngsville, North Carolina which is near Raleigh, North Carolina.
