Dr. Mary E. Triece
Mary E. Triece (Ph.D., University of Texas, Austin) teaches Rhetorical studies classes, including Theories of Rhetoric, Analysis of Discourse and Communication Criticism, in addition to Effective Oral Communication. Her research concentrates on women's protest rhetoric, labor movement studies and Marxist and critical theories. She is the author of two books, On The Picket Line: Strategies of Working-Class Women During the Depression (University of Illinois Press) and Protest and Popular Culture: Women in the U.S. Labor Movement, 1894-1917 (Westview Press). Her articles have appeared in Critical Studies in Mass Communication and Women's Studies In Communication.
