Exit Information

To graduate from The University of Akron, every student must complete 128 credit hours in specific areas. Every student must attain an overall minimum grade point average of 2.0 for all classes taken at The University of Akron. In addition, students must either take a foreign language (link to FAQ) or the necessary tag requirements.

To graduate with a degree from the School of Communication, a student must attain an overall grade point average of 2.3 for all classes taken in the School of Communication (7600).

Students, who plan to graduate from The University of Akron, need to register for graduation.

• If you plan to graduate in December, register to graduate by May 15.
• If you plan to graduate in May, register to graduate by September 15.
• If you plan to graduate in August, register to graduate by February 15.
