News (Journalism) Major

The News (Journalism) major is designed to provide students with critical expertise as well as practical experience. A News major prepares students for journalism careers in print, broadcast and new media. Writing and other production courses in the News area include hands-on skills courses taught in laboratory settings in which students apply their journalism knowledge. Students critically analyze content and issues through lecture courses that explore journalism history and investigate contemporary media trends.
