The requirements for this position are: Minimum High School Degree/G.E.D. some college in human services or related field desirable but not required; Experience working with children; Must possess the ability to communicate and motivate children; Strong interpersonal skills and emphasis on emotional maturity, and good written and oral communications are a must; The ability to pass a background check.

The Family & Child Learning Center of Children’s Hospital of Akron is looking for interns. The Family and Child Learning Center Integrated Preschool for Children with Autism is a research and intervention program for young children between three and five years of age with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The center offers many unique interdisciplinary training opportunities for students, and look forward to possible collaborations. Children’s Museum of Cleveland seeks candidates for the position of Family Learning Intern. This is a great opportunity for a progressive educator who understands informal learning environments. Currently need interns for summer camp programs. Fall/Spring Semester Internship Goals: Interact and observe families within the exhibit areas and provide developmentally appropriate opportunities in a playful and creative manner; write and conduct a survey to gather information on family needs and opinions regarding the museum; and create exhibit labels that will inform and instruct family visitors. 15-20 hrs per week. Family Ties is currently seeking interns for their Incredible Years program. Project R.I.S.E. (Realizing Individual Strength through Education)  is looking for interns or volunteers to provide enrichment activities for the young children residing in Akron shelters. They are looking to find people to provide 30-45 minutes of enrichment for the students once a month during a monthly event called Parents RISEing usually held at Family Ties on 682 E.
