Grading Criteria
NOTE: YOU MUST SHOW UP AT THE DATE/TIME YOU ARE SCHEDULED TO
PRESENT IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CREDIT. IF AN EMERGENCY PREVENTS YOU FROM DOING SO,
PLEASE CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY.
1) Written Outline
20 pts.
a. must be type written
b. at least 2 pages (not including cover page or references),
pages numbered
c. clear and understandable (may be outline or summary form)
2) Adherence to time limitation (45
minutes) 10 pts.
3) Effectiveness of Visual Aids 10 pts
(Powerpoint,
handouts, overheads, etc.)
3) Clearness of Communication 10 pts.
a. Speech clear and loud enough for the entire class to hear
b. Use of proper grammar, clarity of speech
c.
Students are engaged/good eye-contact
4) Was the Presentation Informative? 50 pts.
a. Were all required topics covered (see instructions)?
b. Were relevant and scholarly outside sources used?
c. Did the student respond to questions
adequately?
