The University of Akron is centrally located in the revitalized downtown area where there are many recreational outlets for young professionals including clubs, restaurants, museums, concert halls, and and a terrific park system with bike and hiking trails, lakes and quarries, golf courses, and cross-country ski areas.

Akron is also about 40 minutes from Cleveland where students can enjoy the Cleveland Orchestra, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Museum of Natural History, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. 

The University is less than 15 minutes from the Akron-Canton Airport and the Metro Regional Transit Authority provides safe and reliable transportation around the Akron area.
