Lawrence (Larry) Vuillemin
Larry Vuillemin is an attorney in private practice in Akron, Ohio. Following a life-changing stroke at age 35, Vuillemin co-founded Heart to Heart Communications with Father Norman Douglas. The organization's purpose is described as follows: "Heart to Heart Communications is about strengthening the connections to our deeper selves, to core ethical values, to the meaning and purpose of our work, to one another, to our Creator. It is about active spirituality--a spirituality that influences how and why we do our daily tasks. We bring people together to enrich and support one another in living our ideals, especially at work, and to develop a better workplace and world for the good of all.”
In 2003, Vuillemin received the Sir Thomas More Award jointly presented by the Akron Bar Association and the Diocese of Cleveland for personal integrity, professional excellence, and community service. Together, Vuillemin and Douglas received the 2002 Distinguished Leader Award presented by Leadership Akron. Vuillemin is also a co-author of the 2006 book How in the World Do We Make a Difference?
