Biography:

I grew up in Clinton, Ohio, graduating from Northwest High School in 1975.  After obtaining a diploma from Massillon Community Hospital I lived in Columbia, Missouri for seventeen years obtaining a bachelors and masters degree in nursing.  I then spent eleven years in Wilmington, North Carolina.  During these years I worked exclusively in the field of neurological rehabilitation, with a particular emphasis in spinal injury care.  I currently teach Nursing Care of the Older Adult, full-time, at the College of Nursing at the University of Akron.  So, I am currently working on my PhD part-time.
