  • The Commonwealth Fund   (This foundation is dedicated to improving health care, especially for the disadvantaged and was one of the first foundations in the U.S. to be started by a woman).  Karen Davis has an overview of the candidate plans posted just this month.  They also have an earlier more basic piece, "A Roadmap to Health Insurance for All:  Principles for Reform."

  • Raising Womens Voices - For the Healthcare we need.  For women-centered material (including fact sheets).

  • This month, the journal HEALTH AFFAIRS has published a critical analysis of each candidate's plan--these are free and downloadable.  For those particularly interested in the balance issue, it is noteworthy that the authors of each piece represent to some extent the "other side."  For example, one of the authors on Obama's  plan is Gail Wilensky, a widely respected figure in the health care field (who served under the first Bush) and also one of McCain's major health advisors.  These are available at the HEALTH AFFAIRS website:  www.healthaffairs.org.
