The festival inaugurating the Sylvia Smith Archives of Smith Publications and Sonic Editions occurred during March 2-3, 1992 at The University of Akron. Events included the Dedication Ceremony, the Dedication Concerts on the evenings of March 2nd and 3rd, and a Composer forum on March 3rd.

Visiting composers were Jean Charles François, Dan Senn, Randolph Coleman, Herbert Brün, Ben Johnston, Eugene Novotney, Ralph Shapey, Thomas DeLio, William Brooks, and Stuart Smith. For more information about the festival, follow the links below.
