I am graduate research assistant for Target Cities. Most important component to my job here is writing programs in SAS programming language that analyze the sites-submitted data for consistency, link different databases together or select certain cases from the database for further analysis. Some of them are sent to the sites so that they could run them on their data prior to submission. (They should also be available for download by the sites from the Downloads page of this web site.) Besides, occasionally I have to write some SPSS codes and some simple things in MS-Office 97 built-in Visual Basic. And finally, this web project is also my work.

        I have studied at the University of Akron since Fall 1997, in the Department of Public Administration and Urban Studies. It means that I will get my Master of Public Administration degree pretty soon (in May 1999) and will most likely — and in a sense regretfully — have to leave Target Cities. So my skills may become available to someone else for some time... I wouldn't mind some kind of interesting internship or other challenging assignment in Summer after graduation.
