How Student Toastmasters works:
At Student toastmasters club at the University of Akron, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. Our club consists of 20 - 25 people who meet twice a week for about an hour. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice:
Presenting prepared speeches.
Giving impromptu speeches for one-to-two minutes on assigned topics.
Offering constructive criticism to other members for improvement.
Participate in speech contests.
