Zips went to University of Michigan Sunday October 17 to compete in the Wolverine Interergional. Michelle Rizzo was Akron's number one runner gaining fifth place overall ahead of all MAC and Great Lakes Regional competitors. She directed the Zip team in their new all gold outfits to 8th place ahead of Kent 9th, Ohio 10th. Tennessee 11th and Bradley 12th.

Men
On the men's side there was disappointment when top Zip runner Mickey Andrade was not able to run after getting sick. Later freshman sensation Paul Robinette was not able to start after a knee injury. Rob Murray was Akron's top runner. Unfortunately short handed the men were unable to score as a team.
