Pomona-Pitzer Invitational
Mt. SAC Relays

Jennie Castle and Bobbie Hardbarger travelled to California for two meets this past weekend. On Friday they both competed in the 800m at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational and both succeeded in breaking the Akron school record (2:11.14). Jennie placed second in her section and ran 2:10.70 and Bobbie, running in the fast section, placed 5th and ran 2:10.42.

On Saturday they ran in the Mt. SAC Relays. Jennie again finished second in her race running a negative split 2:11.74 (66.6, 65.1) while Bobbie blew away her section of the 1500m with a winning time of 4:24.56, more than 2 second ahead of Carrie Zografos of Oregon. Bobbie led from gun to wire and ran her first 800m in 2:17.4.

Jennie Castle ran a PR for the 800m (2:10.70) at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.
