December 4, 2002 Indoor Track Is Here! The Zips kick off the indoor season this weekend at the Golden Flash Gala in Kent, OH. The competition begins Friday with the weight throw and the 5000m. The remainder of the events will be contested on Saturday. Although last year's seniors, including LeShaunte Edwards, Mary Varga (for indoor track) and Bobbie Hardbarger, will be missed, this year's team is full of promise with talented newcomers in every event area. Some of the new faces include James Baisden and Tamala Perryman (sprints), Randall Hafner, Jenna Strouse, and Ashley Kaufman (throws), Mike Meditz and John Russell (pole vault), Beata Rudzinska (middle distance), as well as the newcomers from the cross country team. *** For a complete newcomers list click here |
