Todd Moyers led a revitalized Zips men's team at the Auburn Invitational. Moyers, last year's Most Valuable Runner, reclaimed his spot as Akron's number one runner while running 24:55. Moyers' time was good for 26th place in the 253 runner field. Chris Perun continued his strong freshman season running 25:19 while David Howard rebounded from IT band problems to record a time of 25:40. Jake Magier (26:12) and Wes Parker (26:16) completed the top five.

Adriana Zalucka (17:33) paced the women, but right behind her were Erin Frye (17:41), Morgan Sulzener (17:52), and Lisa McCaulley (18:03). Finishing as Akron's fifth runner was Brandi Schoeppner (18:37).
