Rudzinska runs 2:04.71 for 800m

Competing in the special invitational 800m at the Drake Relays Beata Rudzinska ran 2:04.71 to break Bobbie Hardbarger's school record in the event. Rudzinska placed fourth in the race, won by olympian Tanya Blake. Her time places her fourth among Division I women. Earlier in the week, Adriana Zalucka placed third in the collegiate 10,000m at Penn Relays running 34:30.25. That time improved the school record by almost a minute and a half. Running at Penn Relays in the 5,000m were Morgan Sulzener (17:19.79) and Lisa McCaulley (17:21.03), both of those performances were personal bests.

A group also competed in the Baldwin-Wallace Invitational. Jeff Swartzel (800m, 1:58.22), David Pykare (1,500m, 4:03.73), Chris Perun (1,500m, 4:06.56), and Adam Bray (3,000m steeplechase, 9:52.13) all ran personal bests, as did Becki Michael (1,500m, 4:48.64) and Sam Whetherholt (1,500, 4:55.96).
