Women's Sprint Medley Relay Team Breaks School Record

The sprint medley relay team of Tamala Perryman (200m), Lucretia Corbin (200m), Jennie Castle (400m, 56.1), and Beata Rudzinska (800m, 2:08.5) set a new school record, 3:54.92, in the event at the Texas Relays. The previous record was set at last year's Florida Relays by Deanna Norflee, Corbin, Castle, and Bobbie Hardbarger.

Whetherholt, Perun, Pykare Shine at Kent State

Running at the aptly named Icebreaker Open Samantha Whetherholt won her first collegiate race, running 3000m in 11:00.93. Also competing well in the frigid conditions were Chris Perun, who was third in the 1500m (4:14.43), and David Pykare, who was fourth in the 800m (2:00.22). Both Chris and David were racing in events shorter than their usual ones.
