Schoeppner Runs 17:11 at Penn Relays

Brandi Schoeppner ran 17:11.21 in the Olympic Development 5000m at the Penn Relays. That performance ranks her third on the Akron all-time performance list. She trails school-record holder Michelle Rizzo (16:28.90) and Adriana Zalucka (17:08.62). Morgan Sulzener clocked a 17:22.52 time to just miss breaking her personal best set at last year's Penn Relays.

Beata Rudzinska ran in the Special 800m at the Drake Relays. The race was run in cold, windy, and rainy conditions. Beata's 2:07.92 earned her fourth place in the race. Last year she placed fourth running 2:04.71.

The men's distance runners competed at the Gina Relays in Hillsdale, Michigan and at the Knoxville Invitational. David Howard and Adam Bray recorded PRs at Hillsdale, Howard running 15:03.9 for 5,000m and Bray 9:38.3 in the 3,000m steeplechase. At Knoxville, David Pykare ran 1:55.80 for 800m.
