Rudzinska Fourth at NCAA Indoor Championships

Beata Rudzinska ran 2:04.93 and placed fourth at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Rudzinska qualified for the final by comfortably winning her preliminary heat in 2:06.53. In the final, bumping at the start pushed Rudzinska to the back of the pack at the break. By 300m into the race she had moved up to the leader's shoulder, a position she maintained into the final lap. However, the effort to reach that spot was costly and she faded slightly in the final 100m. Her time in the finals was faster than last year's winning time.
